Pledges and campaigns
When you launch a structured collection campaign β for example "Prayer hall works 2026" or "Student scholarship" β you want to see a single dashboard that gathers all contributions, whether one-time payments, online donations or pledges. This page explains how to link your pledges to a campaign.
The principleβ
A campaign is a marketing structure from the Campaigns module that lets you:
- Define a financial goal
- Track contributions in real time
- Compare to a forecast
- Present reports to the board
A pledge linked to a campaign contributes to its goal. When the pledge is fulfilled by payments, the latter also feed the campaign automatically.
When to link a pledge to a campaign?β
| Situation | Linking relevant? |
|---|---|
| You manage a structured campaign with a quantified goal | β Yes |
| You want to see a global dashboard of the collection | β Yes |
| You need to present a progress report to the board | β Yes |
| Free pledge without marketing context | β Leave the Booklet/Campaign field empty or point to the main cash register |
| Pledge linked to a budgetary booklet (and not a campaign) | β Different β see section below |
Budgetary booklet vs Campaignβ
The Booklet field of the Pledge modal lets you point to:
| Target | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Main cash register | Free donation without specific allocation |
| Budgetary booklet | Internal account to track a budget (e.g., "Works 2026" Booklet, "Reserve Fund" Booklet) |
| Campaign | Structured marketing initiative with goal and duration (e.g., "Student scholarship 2026" Campaign) |
A pledge linked to a booklet feeds the accounting tracking. A pledge linked to a campaign feeds the marketing statistics and the booklet by default.
Link a pledge to a campaign β at creationβ
- 1
Create the pledge
Follow the standard procedure: Create a pledge.
- 2
At the 'Booklet' field
In the drop-down menu, select the desired campaign. Campaigns appear with their label (for example "Campaign β Works 2026").
- 3
Fill in additional fields (if the campaign requires it)
Some campaigns require additional information (linked team, sub-category, sponsorship code). Unisoft displays them automatically when you select a campaign.
- 4
Validate
The pledge is created with the link. It appears in the campaign statistics immediately.
Link after the factβ
If you created a pledge without a link and want to tie it to an existing campaign:
- 1
Locate the pledge
In the list (
/app/promesses/list). - 2
Click the pencil icon β Edit the Donation pledge
The modal opens with the current values.
- 3
Select the campaign in the Booklet field
- 4
Validate
The pledge is now linked. The campaign statistics update automatically.
π See Edit a pledge for the exact conditions.
Effects in the Campaigns moduleβ
Once the pledge is linked, you will see it in the Campaigns module in two forms:
- In the contributions list: the pledge appears with the status "Committed" (not yet fulfilled) or "Fulfilled" (depending on the balance)
- In the global statistics: the total pledged amount adds to the campaign's goal
When the pledge receives a payment, the payment is also automatically assigned to the campaign (consistent with the pledge's link).
Typical use case: multi-year fundraisingβ
Your community launches a "Prayer hall renovation 2026" campaign with a goal of β¬150,000 over 18 months. Contributions can come from:
- Pledges (donors who commit to substantial amounts)
- One-time payments (checks, transfers)
- Online donations via a dedicated form
- Recurring payments (monthly subscriptions)
- 1
Create the campaign in the Campaigns module
Define the goal, the duration, the associated donation form.
- 2
Enter pledges as they come
Each new commitment: create a pledge by selecting "Hall renovation 2026" campaign as the booklet.
- 3
Let Unisoft consolidate
Payments fulfilling the pledges, one-time payments via form, and subscriptions all feed the same campaign.
- 4
Check the dashboard regularly
In the Campaigns module, you see in real time:
- Total pledged vs total paid
- Detailed list of contributions
- Progress toward the goal
Limitationsβ
| Limitation | Detail |
|---|---|
| One campaign per pledge | You cannot link the same pledge to two campaigns simultaneously |
| No campaign after creation via Express mode | Express mode does not let you choose a campaign β you must edit each pledge afterward |
| If the campaign is deleted | Linked pledges lose the link but are not otherwise affected |
