Preview: Send a manual reminder

A donor made a commitment but hasn't paid yet? You can send them a manual reminder via SMS or Email directly from Unisoft, without leaving the Pledges module. The message contains a direct payment link to make settlement easier.

When to send a manual reminder?

Prerequisites

Depending on the chosen channel, the contact must have a valid detail:

Channel	Prerequisite
SMS	Mobile phone filled on the contact profile
Email	Valid email filled on the contact profile

If the detail is missing, the reminder cannot be sent: add it first via the Contacts module.

Procedure

   Locate the pledge

   In the list (/app/promesses/list), find the pledge to follow up on.

   Open the reminders menu

   To the right of the row, click the Send icon (paper plane, green).

   The icon is active only if:

   • The pledge has a remaining balance > 0
   • No active subscription covers it

   Choose the channel

   The drop-down menu offers:

   • Send a reminder (SMS)
   • Send a reminder (Email)

   Select the desired channel.

   Confirm

   A confirmation window appears: "Are you sure you want to send a reminder to [Donor name]?".

   Click Yes to send immediately.

   Success notification

   Unisoft displays a notification confirming the sending. The donor receives the message in a few seconds (SMS) to a few minutes (Email depending on the mail server).

Reminder content

The message sent contains:

The donor can click directly on the link and pay online in seconds (Stripe, PayGreen or the configured platform).

And when the action is disabled?

The Send a reminder action is disabled in two cases:

Remaining balance = 0	The pledge is paid in full, there's nothing to follow up on	—
Active automatic subscription	The donor is already automatically debited	Wait or suspend the subscription from Recurring payments

Pledge covered by an active subscription

If an automatic direct debit already feeds the pledge, do not follow up with the donor: they might think it's a problem or a double request. Unisoft disables the action to avoid these misunderstandings.

How many times to follow up?

No technical limit: you can follow up with a donor as many times as you want. But donor experience is at stake.

Several reminders per day	Very negative, can lead to withdrawal of the donation
