Copy a payment link
The payment link is a short URL you generate on the fly for a specific pledge. You send it to the donor (via WhatsApp, personal SMS, email, or printed as a QR code): they click, pay online in seconds, and the payment is automatically assigned to the right pledge.
When to use a payment link?β
| Situation | Link relevant? |
|---|---|
| You want to personalize the sending message (WhatsApp, personal conversation) | β Yes |
| The donor prefers an informal channel to email | β Yes |
| You want to send it by phone (read the link out loud) | β Yes |
| You want to print a QR code (post in the synagogue, in a card) | β Yes |
| You prefer an automatic email from Unisoft | β Prefer Send a manual reminder or Schedule automatic reminders |
Advantages of the linkβ

What the donor seesβ
By clicking the link, the donor lands on a pre-filled Unisoft payment page:
| Information displayed | Source |
|---|---|
| Your organization's logo and name | Unisoft configuration |
| Amount to pay | Remaining balance of the pledge |
| Payment reason | Pledge label |
| Payment method choice | Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, transfer (depending on your configuration) |
| Ability to adjust the amount | The donor can pay more or less than the remaining balance |
| Optional fields | Billing details for the tax receipt |
The payment is immediately processed by the configured platform (Stripe, PayGreen, etc.) and automatically assigned to the pledge in Unisoft.
QR code: typical useβ
The QR code can be:
- Printed in a greeting card or a Rosh Hashana booklet
- Displayed on a screen during an event
- Distributed on flyers
- Inserted in a paper email
Any donor with a smartphone can scan it and go directly to the payment page.
Securityβ
The link is a short random identifier that cannot be guessed. It is valid as long as the pledge exists and is not paid in full.
| Case | Link behavior |
|---|---|
| Pledge 100% fulfilled | The link still works but displays "Pledge settled" and offers a free donation |
| Canceled pledge | The link no longer works |
| Edited pledge | The link remains valid with the new amount |
Differences with other channelsβ
| Channel | Advantages | Disadvantages |
|---|---|---|
| Copy-pasted link (this page) | Customizable, multi-channel, QR code | No trace in Unisoft of the sending moment |
| Manual reminder (send a manual reminder) | Trace in Unisoft, standard message | Generic tone, limited channel (Unisoft SMS / Email) |
| Automatic reminder (schedule reminders) | No human intervention | No personalized message |
