Create a session

Pour :Administrateur

A session is the dated instance of an event group. It is what you publish, track, and close. This page details the complete procedure, including the duplication of an existing session (very useful for recurring events).

Prerequisites

To create a session, you need an existing group. If you don't have one yet:

  1. First create the group β€” see Create an event group.
  2. Then come back here.

Standard procedure

  1. 1

    Access the group's session list

    Two possible paths:

    • From the types list: /app/pe/categories, group's row, click View sessions (visible only if the group has at least one session).
    • From the direct URL: /app/pe/list?groupe=[group-id].

The page displays at the top the group's Booklet (consolidated budget), then the sessions table filtered by year.

  2. 2

    Click Β«Create a SessionΒ»

Blue button at the top right of the table. The Add an event window opens.

  3. 3

    Enter the internal label

The Label is used by you only, in the admin list. Examples: "Passover 2026", "Shabbat Bereshit", "Women's evening 2026".

  4. 4

    Enter the public title (multilingual)

The Title is displayed to visitors on the public page. It can be entered in several languages via the tabs at the top of the form.

  5. 5

    Enter the description (multilingual)

The Description is a short text displayed on the public page below the title. It can be entered in several languages.

  6. 6

    Enter the date range

The Event date field is a time range (start date and end date), with precise time. Select both bounds: for example 12/04/2026 19:30 β†’ 12/04/2026 23:30 for an evening of a single evening.

For an event of several days (Passover, Sukkot, etc.): 01/04/2026 00:00 β†’ 08/04/2026 23:59.

  7. 7

    (Optional) Define an automatic closing

The Close automatically (hours before start) field takes a number of hours. If you enter 48, the session will be automatically closed 48 hours before the start date (no more registration or payment possible on the public side).

Leave empty to not activate the automatic closing β€” the session remains open as long as you don't manually disable it.

  8. 8

    Check the Β«Active sessionΒ» state

The Active session switch is enabled by default. Disable it if you want to create the session in draft (preparation of forms and funds before public opening).

  9. 9

    Validate

Click Validate. The session is created, the dedicated accounting Booklet is generated automatically, and the session appears in the list.

You are redirected to the list β€” open the session's sheet (eye icon in the Actions column) to add forms and funds to it.

The session's accounting Booklet

When a session is created, Unisoft automatically generates a dedicated accounting Booklet bearing the session's label.

  • All payments related to the forms and funds attached to the session will be credited to it.
  • The Booklet is visible from the session's sheet (General tab) and from the Budget module.
  • It also feeds the group's Booklet (consolidated budget all events of the same type).

Duplicate an existing session

This is the fastest method for recurring or annual events: everything is copied, you just have to choose the new dates.

What is duplicated

  • The label, the title, the description (to be modified)
  • All attached forms (with their field configuration)
  • All attached funds (with their configuration and cash account lines)
  • The complete public page (image, content, external links)

What is not duplicated

  • The dates (emptied β€” you must enter them)
  • The unique identifier (a new session is created)
  • The payments and submissions received on the source session
  • The accounting Booklet (a new Booklet is created for the new session)

Procedure

  1. 1

    Locate the session to duplicate

Open the group's session list (/app/pe/list?groupe=[id]).

  2. 2

    Click the duplication icon

In the Actions column, the first button is a copy icon. Click on it.

  3. 3

    Complete the new dates

The window opens pre-filled. Change the dates (the field is intentionally empty), adjust the label and the title, then validate.

Modify an existing session

From a session's sheet (General tab):

  • The Edit info button allows changing the label, the title, and the description.
  • Below, the Event information form allows modifying the dates, the display period, the image, the detailed content, the address, and the additional links.

Best practices

TopicRecommendation
LabelBe precise and identifying: "Shabbat Bereshit 2026" rather than "Shabbat"
DatesDon't forget the realistic end time (useful for the public page and auto closing)
Display periodFor a Shabbat, 7 or 15 days is enough; for Passover, keep the default (30 days)
CutoffActivate it to avoid late registrations (24h or 48h before the start is a good compromise)
DraftDisable the session during preparation to not display an empty page to visitors
