Event Journeys
The Event Journeys module (often abbreviated EJ) is used to organize all your events: religious holidays, weekly Shabbat, galas, thematic evenings, course series. Each event benefits from a public page on your site, can receive registrations (via forms) and targeted donations (via funds), and feeds a dedicated accounting Booklet for consolidated financial tracking.
The key concept: group + sessionโ
Unisoft structures events on two levels:
| Level | Definition | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Event group | The event type, reusable from year to year | "Passover", "Weekly Shabbat", "Annual Gala" |
| Session | A dated instance of the group | "Passover 2026", "Shabbat of March 15", "Gala 2026" |
The group defines the identity of the event (title, image, public page). The session carries the precise dates, its registrations, its donations, and its budget.

What do you want to do?โ
When to use this module?โ
Event Journeys are suitable for:
- Dated religious holidays: Passover, Sukkot, Purim, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Shavuot, etc.
- Recurring events: weekly Shabbat, weekly classes, monthly evenings
- One-off galas and evenings: annual gala, women's evening, farbrengen
- Study series: course cycle, learning journey in several sessions
For a simple fundraising without event dimension, use the Funds module instead. For a contact form or a survey without associated event, see the Forms module.
