Virtual organizations
A virtual organization is a secondary entity attached to your main organization in Unisoft. It has its own name, its own logo, its own address, but shares the same Unisoft account and the same team as the main organization.
This page allows you to modify the information of existing virtual organizations. Each virtual appears as an additional tab to the right of the My organization and Contact information tabs.
Why virtual organizations?β
Several typical cases justify the attachment of a virtual to a main organization.
Case 1 β Branch in another cityβ
Your main community is in Paris, and you have opened a branch in Marseille with a local name and a different address. Both structures share the same team, the same software and the same Unisoft tools, but the Marseille donors must receive a tax receipt with the name and address of the branch, not the Paris head office.
Case 2 β Distinct patronage structureβ
Your main cultural association (1905 law) cannot issue tax receipts for corporate patronage. You have created a dedicated patronage structure (for example a 1901 law association of general interest or a foundation) to collect business donations. This structure has a distinct legal identity, but you want to manage it from the same Unisoft backoffice.
Case 3 β Subsidiary or sister associationβ
Your main organization manages a subsidiary or a sister association (school, library, retirement home, etc.) that has its own public identity but shares the administrative team.
In all these cases, the virtual allows to issue tax receipts and to publicly present each structure with the right name and address, without duplicating Unisoft accounts.
Access itβ
- User menu: avatar at the top right β My Organization β select the tab bearing the name of the virtual organization to modify.
- Direct URL:
/app/info/tabs.
If your account has no virtual organization, there will only be the two fixed tabs (My organization and Contact information). No additional tab, no creation button.
The editable fieldsβ
Each virtual organization has a simpler form than that of the main organization. Six fields, all required:
Logoβ
Square image representing the virtual. Recommended format: PNG or JPG, 872 Γ 872 pixels. As for the main organization, the preview in the backoffice is circular 100 Γ 100 β favor a visual that supports round framing.
Nameβ
The full name of the virtual (e.g.: Beth El Marseille Branch, Beth El Patronage Foundation).
Short nameβ
The acronym or short version (e.g.: Beth El Marseille, BE Foundation).
Addressβ
The postal address specific to the virtual.
Postal codeβ
The postal code of the virtual's address.
Cityβ
The city where the virtual is located.
Saveβ
Click on Validate at the bottom of the virtual's form. A notification confirms the modification.
What propagates after a modificationβ
When you modify the profile of a virtual organization, the changes propagate to:
- The tax receipts issued by this virtual (future receipts, not the already generated receipts)
- The payment pages attached to this virtual
- The communications sent in its name
- All the public elements that make the virtual appear
Identify your virtual organizationsβ
To know which virtuals are attached to your Unisoft account:
- 1
Open My Organization
Avatar at the top right β My Organization.
- 2
Count the tabs
The first two tabs are fixed: My organization and Contact information. All following tabs correspond to a virtual organization.
- 3
The label of each tab corresponds to the short name of the virtual. Click on it to see and modify its information.
Request the creation of a new virtualβ
If you need a virtual organization that does not yet exist:
- 1
Prepare the information
Gather: the full name, the short name, the full address (street, postal code, city), a logo in PNG or JPG format, and the context (legal subsidiary, geographic branch, patronage structure, etc.).
- 2
Contact Unisoft support
Write to your Unisoft representative or to support transmitting this information.
- 3
Check the creation
Once the virtual is created by support, a new tab will appear in My Organization. You can then complete or adjust the information from this page.
To rememberβ
- A virtual = secondary entity attached to the main organization.
- Creation reserved to Unisoft support; this page only allows editing.
- One tab per virtual to the right of the two fixed tabs.
- Six editable fields: logo, name, short name, address, postal code, city.
- No rabbinical opinion or languages: these settings are inherited from the main.
- Modifications are not retroactive on already issued tax receipts.
Going furtherβ
- My organization (overview) β the three tabs
