Tsedasmart donation kiosks

Open in Unisoft

Tsedasmart donation kiosks are physical touchscreens placed in your community β€” at the entrance to the synagogue, in the welcome hall, near the gabay's office. They let congregants and visitors make a donation in a few seconds, without a phone and without an application: just touch the screen, choose an amount, and present a bank card or smartphone.

What a kiosk is for

Congregant's needWhat the kiosk offers
Donate without taking out their phoneDirect contactless card payment (NFC)
Donate even during Shabbat / Yom TovAutomatic video replacing the touch interface to respect the day
Quickly choose an amountPreset buttons (10 €, 18 €, 36 €, 180 €…) configured by you
Choose which cause receives their donationList of funds displayed on screen
Have an emergency channelDedicated emergency button (depending on your configuration)

Access it

  • From the user menu: click on your avatar at the top right, then on Kiosks.
  • By direct URL: /app/bornes/tabs.

What you see

The page shows one tab per kiosk configured in your organization. If you have for example one kiosk at the entrance and another in the community hall, you will see two tabs side by side, each with its own name (the label you chose).

Each tab opens the kiosk's configuration form (see Configure a kiosk).

How kiosks are created

The full process looks like this:

  1. 1

    Request to Unisoft support

You indicate your needs: number of kiosks, planned locations, main uses.

  2. 2

    Delivery and installation

The Unisoft team delivers the hardware and installs it (power, network, anchoring).

  3. 3

    Software activation

The kiosk is attached to your organization and appears on this page as a tab.

  4. 4

    Configuration on your part

You define the wallpaper, Shabbat video, preset amounts and displayed funds. See Configure a kiosk.

All donations flow into Payments

Every transaction made on a kiosk automatically creates a payment in the Payments module. There you will find:

  • The amount and date of the donation.
  • The fund (or the main cash register) chosen by the donor.
  • The source identified as kiosk.
  • The tax receipt, where applicable, if the kiosk asks for an email address.

The Shabbat / Yom Tov mode

During Shabbat and holidays (Yom Tov), it is not permitted to use an electronic device. The kiosk then offers an adapted mode:

  • The screen displays a pre-recorded video (eight ambiences available: candles, kosher landscapes, calligraphy, etc.).
  • The touch interface is disabled.
  • The emergency button can remain active if you have configured it that way.

The switch can happen automatically according to your organization's schedules, or manually. See Configure a kiosk for the detail.

Key takeaways

  • A Tsedasmart kiosk is a physical touch kiosk installed in your community for contactless donations.
  • The Kiosks page lists your kiosks as tabs β€” one tab per device.
  • You do not create a kiosk from this page: creation goes through Unisoft support.
  • You configure: wallpaper, Shabbat video, preset amounts, displayed funds, emergency button.
  • All donations go through the Payments module with the source identified.
