Configure the donation page

Pour :Administrateur
View of the configuration page

The donation page configuration is mainly done in a single screen from the backoffice (with a dedicated window for the buttons). Everything you fill in (image, text, video, buttons) immediately appears on the public page after saving.

Where to find the configuration

The configuration screen is at the address /app/web/don. In Unisoft navigation, you access it via Website then Donation page.

Available fields

The configuration screen exposes 5 fields:

FieldRole
YouTube identifierPresentation video displayed in the left column
Background imageHero banner at the top of the page
Editorial contentPresentation text, formatted with the visual editor
Image carouselScrolling gallery between the video and the content
Amount buttonsSuggested amounts displayed on the donation form

Complete procedure

  1. 1

    Open the configuration screen

In the sidebar, expand Website then click Donation page.

  2. 2

    Choose the hero background image

The background image dresses up the banner at the top of the donation page. Choose a photo representative of your community: building facade, interior during an event, group photo.

Click Upload an image or select an image already available in your media library. Recommended format: landscape, at least 1920Γ—800 pixels.

  3. 3

    Add a presentation video (optional)

Paste the YouTube identifier of the video in the dedicated field. The identifier is the part of the URL after v=: for example, for https://youtu.be/abcdef12345, the identifier is abcdef12345.

The video appears in the left column of the donation page, above the editorial content.

  4. 4

    Write the editorial content

The editorial content is the text that explains why you are soliciting donations and what they are used for. It's the part that convinces the donor. Use the visual editor to bold, add titles, lists or links.

If your organization offers multiple languages, switch from one language to another via the selector at the top of the field β€” it is the only multilingual field of the donation page.

  5. 5

    Add an image carousel (optional)

The carousel is a scrolling gallery that displays between the video and the content. Add 3 to 6 photos that illustrate your activity: events, premises, charitable actions.

Click Add an image and upload your photos. You can reorder them by drag-and-drop.

  6. 6

    Customize the amount buttons

The donation buttons guide the donor towards predefined amounts (for example €18, €36, €180). Each button has an amount and an optional short text.

This step opens a dedicated window β€” see Customize donation buttons for the detail.

  7. 7

    Save

Click Save at the bottom of the screen. The changes are immediately visible on the public page.

  8. 8

Test by opening the public link

Click the preview link at the top of the screen to open your donation page as your donors see it. Check the rendering on mobile and on computer.

Multilingual: what is translated, what is not

If your organization accepts multiple languages:

ElementMultilingual?
Hero background imageNo β€” image common to all languages
YouTube videoNo β€” common video
Editorial contentYes β€” to fill in per language
CarouselNo β€” common images
Amount buttonsNo β€” same texts for all languages

Multi-currency: let the donor choose

If your organization accepts multiple currencies (for example EUR and USD), the currency selector automatically appears on the donation page next to the amount. The donor chooses theirs before validating.

You have nothing to configure here: active currencies are those defined in the settings of your organization (see User preferences).

Public page preview

Once configured, the donation page is always organized in the same way:

  1. Hero banner at the top: background image, Donate badge, title, short description.
  2. Two-column grid below the hero:
    • Left: the video (if present), then the carousel, then the editorial content.
    • Right: the donation card, sticky during scrolling, with the choice of amount, the currency selector, and the Donate button.

The more content you fill in, the richer the page is β€” but a minimalist page (just a title, an amount, a button) remains perfectly functional.
