Attachments tab
The Attachments tab gathers all of a contact's attachments: photocopies of ID cards, proof of address, SEPA mandates, contracts, marriage contracts, education certificates, volunteering agreements, etc.
Instead of searching for a document in an inbox or a shared folder, you find it in two clicks from the contact's profile.
The tab is accessible from each contact profile (/app/contact/fiche?id=...) by clicking on the Attachments panel at the top of the profile.
What can be attached?β
The tab accepts two types of complementary attachments.
| Type | Accepted format | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Document | PDF, image (JPG, PNG, GIF) | Hosted on the Unisoft CDN, downloadable in one click |
| External link | URL (drive, shared folder, Notion, Trelloβ¦) | No copy: it's just a shortcut |
Add a documentβ
- 1
Open the add modal
Click on Add a document at the top right of the Attachments tab.
- 2
Name the document
Give it a short and explicit name: "SEPA Mandate 2026", "Proof of address", "Signed volunteering contract". This name will appear in the list.
- 3
Drag and drop the file
In the upload area, drag your PDF or image β or click to choose a file from your disk. Upload starts immediately and a preview displays.
- 4
Validate
The document is attached to the contact and appears in the list.
Accepted formatsβ
The uploader accepts image/* formats (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebPβ¦) and application/pdf. For a file of another format (Word, Excel, ZIP), export it to PDF first before adding it; otherwise store it in a drive and use an external link instead.
Add an external linkβ
Adding a link works on the same principle as documents.
- 1
Click on Add a link
The button is at the top right of the Links block (only visible if you have activated this section of the profile, or if the contact already has at least one link).
- 2
Name the link
For example: "Cohen Family Drive Folder", "Volunteering Notion Space", "Event Photos".
- 3
Paste the URL
Paste the full URL (starting with
https://). Unisoft validates that it is indeed a web address. - 4
Validate
The link appears in the list as a clickable card.
Consult an attachmentβ
On the profile, each document appears as a card with a file icon, its name (clickable), its add date, and a Delete button.
- Clicking on the name opens the document in a new browser tab (PDF or image inline).
- Clicking on Delete displays a confirmation: "Are you sure you want to delete this document?".
For external links, it's the URL itself that is opened in a new tab. The appearance is identical to that of documents, with a link icon rather than a file.
Typical use casesβ
| Case | What to attach? |
|---|---|
| SEPA mandate signed for an automatic direct debit | PDF of the mandate, named "SEPA Mandate - Cohen Family - 2026" |
| Proof of identity for a tax receipt of a large donation | Scan of the ID or certificate |
| Volunteering agreement | Signed PDF, dated |
| Framing letter of a multi-year pledge | PDF of the letter accompanying the pledge |
| Photos of an event the contact attended | Link to a shared Drive folder |
| Membership card scanned | JPG image of the front/back |
Best practicesβ
Articulation with other toolsβ
- Supporting documents related to a specific payment (scanned check, received transfer, card receipt) should be attached to the payment in the Payments module, not here.
- The event photos are generally managed via the public pages (Funds, Campaigns) rather than in the Attachments tab.
- To store structured information related to the contact (a member number, a registration date, a free value), use the Custom fields instead.
