Cross-contact interactions
The Cross-contact interactions page brings together in a single timeline all interactions recorded on your entire contact base. It's the ideal place to track your team's activity (who visited whom, when, with what actions) or to prepare a weekly report.
Access it from the Contacts menu β Interactions, or via the URL
/app/contact/interactions.
What is an "interaction"?β
An interaction (sometimes called comment or activity in the interface) is a timestamped trace added to a contact to document an exchange or action. Each interaction carries:
- An automatic date / time.
- An associated contact (mandatory β except in multi-contact case).
- A type (e.g.: Visit, Call, Appointment, Emailβ¦).
- One or more actions performed (e.g.: "agreed to donate", "refused", "to call back").
- A free description (text).
- The author (team member who entered it).
The available types and actions are configurable by your organization. They appear in the filters to precisely target what you are looking for.
The screen at a glanceβ
The interface consists of:
- Top banner: contact search (left) and advanced filters (right).
- Table: list of paginated interactions, sortable by date or by type.
- Table actions: Export (CSV) and Add an interaction (multi-contacts).
Each row of the table shows:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Creation date | Format DD/MM/YYYY at HH:MM |
| Contact | Last name + first name, clickable to open the profile |
| Type | Magenta badge (e.g.: "Visit", "Call") |
| Actions performed | Green badges (e.g.: "Donated", "To call back") |
| Description | Free text entered by the author |
| Actions | Edit + delete |
Filter the interactionsβ
Three main filters are available via the Advanced filters panel at the top right:
Filter by dateβ
Select a date range (start date + end date). All interactions timestamped in this range will be displayed.
Filter by typeβ
Choose one or more interaction types (Visit, Call, Email, Appointment, Noteβ¦). The list corresponds to the types configured in your organization. Displayed as magenta badge in the table.
Filter by action performedβ
Choose one or more actions performed ("Donated", "To call back", "Declined"β¦). The list corresponds to the actions configured in your organization. Displayed as green badge in the table.
Filter by specific contactβ
The Search a contact field at the top left lets you limit the timeline to a single contact. Type a few characters, select the contact, and the list reduces to their interactions only.
This same functionality is used from the contact profile:
clicking on the "See all interactions" button switches to this
page with the contact pre-selected via the URL (searchId parameter).
Add an interactionβ
The Add an interaction button (at the top right of the table) opens a modal that lets you create an interaction for one or more contacts simultaneously. Handy to document a collective event (evening, distribution, workshop) where you want to add the same trace on all participants.
- 1
Click on Add an interaction
Multi-contact modal.
- 2
Select the contacts
Search and multiple add.
- 3
Choose the type and actions
Dropdown lists fed by your organization's configuration.
- 4
Enter the description (optional)
Free text β useful for context ("GA meeting on 01/14", "volunteer reminder Passover holiday").
- 5
Validate
An interaction is created for each selected contact. The table refreshes automatically.
Edit or delete an interactionβ
On each row of the table, two icons:
- Pencil (blue) β opens the edit modal (type, actions, description).
- Trash (red) β deletes after confirmation. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Export to CSVβ
The Export button generates a CSV file with all interactions matching the active filters (not just the current page). The columns:
- Creation date
- Contact name
- Contact email
- Contact phone
- Type
- Actions performed
- Description
Useful for a monthly report or to analyze a team's activity in Excel.
Going furtherβ
The types and actions available in the filters are configured via your organization's administration. To customize this list, contact your administrator.
To track interactions on a single contact, open their profile: an Interactions tab presents the same information, restricted to this contact.
