Create a fund
Creating a Fund is centralized in a single form, organized in expandable sections to let you choose between a minimalist configuration (in 2 minutes) and a rich configuration (image, video, multi-currency, dedicated budget Booklet).
Before starting
Prepare the following information:
- A short and evocative name for the Fund (e.g.: "Prayer room renovation")
- The amount to collect (if you want to display a progress gauge)
- The budget Booklet or destination account (often AUTO)
- The associated association (if your organization manages several)
- Optional: background image, presentation video, editorial text
Step-by-step procedure
- 1
Open the Funds module
From the sidebar, go to Donation pages then Funds.
The corresponding route is
/app/cagnottes/list. - 2
Click «Create a fund»
The button is at the top right of the list. A large modal window opens.
- 3
Fill in the «Main» section
This is the only essential section. It contains:
- Name of the Fund (multilingual, FR + EN if you translate your site)
- Custom URL (auto-slugified from the name, modifiable)
- Mode with or without quantified goal
- Goal amount (multi-currency if applicable)
- Tax receipt enabled or not (toggle, enabled by default)
- Associated association
- 4
(Optional) «Content management» section
To take care of the public page:
- YouTube video (video identifier)
- Uploaded background image
- Rich content via the editor (text, layout, links)
- Custom buttons with amounts and labels (e.g.: "50 € — one Sefer")
- Image carousel
See Customize the public page for details.
- 5
(Optional) «URL link management» section
SEO and integration settings:
- Metadata (title, description) for referencing
- Open Graph (title, image, description for social shares)
- iframe code ready to paste on an external site
- 6
(Optional) «Management options» section
Internal settings invisible to the donor:
- Internal label (used in accounting exports if different from the public name)
- Internal description (memo for the team)
- Destination Booklet — where the payments will be accounted for. By default AUTO (Unisoft decides according to your rules)
- Margin (in %): purely cosmetic starting amount to start the gauge at a non-zero level
Best practice: carefully choose the destination Booklet from creation. Once the Fund is open to contributions, historical payments will remain attached to the Booklet in effect at the time of their registration; modifying this Booklet afterwards does not redistribute the existing one and complicates the accounting reading.
- 7
(Optional) «Additional options» section
- Hide the Fund (
hidden): useful to prepare a collection before its official launch
To enable a Fund in smart mode (recurring monthly goal), see Smart fund — activation currently goes through Unisoft support.
- Hide the Fund (
- 8
Validate
Click Save. The Fund appears immediately in the In progress tab of the list, ready to be shared.
Understanding the fields
Mode with or without goal
Two possible uses:
| Mode | Public display | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| With goal | Progress gauge, collected amount, remaining to reach | Targeted project (renovation, equipment) |
| Without goal | Open donation page, simple "Donate" button | Support fund, permanent fund |
Automatic tax receipt
The Tax receipt toggle determines whether each received payment automatically triggers the issuance of the tax receipt (PDF + email to the donor). Enabled by default, to be disabled only if the Fund does not give right to deduction (for example a member support collection).
Cosmetic margin
The margin is an amount visually added to the gauge so as not to start at zero. It is purely cosmetic — the accounting remains exact. Useful for giving a momentum effect ("already 500 € collected!") from the opening of the page.
Custom URL
A Fund is accessible via:
https://your-site.unisoft.world/don/[ID](technical URL)https://your-site.unisoft.world/[custom-url]if you fill in the URL field
The custom URL is auto-generated from the name (e.g.: "Prayer room renovation" becomes prayer-room-renovation). Modify it for a shorter or more memorable slug.
Concrete example: prayer room renovation
You are launching a collection to renovate the prayer room. Goal: 20,000 €.
- 1
Main section
- Name:

- Amount:

- Association: Beth Yossef Association
- Name:

Content management section
- Background image: photo of the current room

Once the Fund is created, open the sharing modal (link icon) to retrieve the QR code to print and the short link to distribute via WhatsApp.
See Share a fund.
Special cases
Several legal entities
If your organization manages several associations, the Association field is required and conditions:
- The default currency
- The tax parameters of the receipt (text, legal notices, number)
- The legal identifier displayed on the receipt
Multi-currency
To collect in several currencies (EUR, USD, ILS, GBP, etc.), see Multi-currency fund. Each currency can be attached to a distinct association.
Smart fund
For a Fund automatically fed by an auto-calculated monthly budget (smart mode), see Smart fund.
To remember
- A single form in expandable sections — bare minimum in less than 2 minutes
- Destination Booklet to be chosen carefully from creation: changing this Booklet after contributions complicates the accounting reading (historical payments remain attached to the original Booklet)
- Tax receipt enabled by default, to be disabled only if not eligible
- Cosmetic margin creates no accounting entry
- The custom URL is auto-generated but modifiable
