Yossi β€” the WhatsApp assistant

Pour :Administrateur

Yossi is the Unisoft AI assistant you keep in your pocket. You talk to him via WhatsApp, from your phone, like to a colleague. He has access to your organization's data and can perform common actions for you: search for a contact, take a note, create a reminder, record a donation pledge, find a form.

It's the natural mobile extension of Unisoft: no portal to log into, no app to install, no password to retype. WhatsApp.

Activate Yossi

Activation happens in two steps, from your personal preferences.

  1. 1

    Enter your WhatsApp number

In the backoffice, open Preferences β†’ My assistants tab. Enter the WhatsApp phone number you will use to talk to Yossi, in international format (+33 6 12 34 56 78).

Yossi will recognize you by this number: any message sent from this WhatsApp will be associated with your Unisoft account and your organization.

  2. 2

    Enable the WhatsApp assistant

Check Enable the WhatsApp assistant in the same section. As long as the box is not checked, Yossi will not reply to your messages.

You can also choose Yossi's reply language (French or English) β€” this language takes effect for the next conversations.

  3. 3

    Click 'Chat with Yossi'

A Chat with Yossi button opens the WhatsApp conversation directly with the Unisoft number, contact pre-filled. First message sent, first acknowledgment received β€” you are connected.

  4. 4

    Pin the conversation

On the first message, Yossi suggests pinning the conversation in WhatsApp. Do it: you will always have Yossi at the top of your conversation list, ready to draw.

What Yossi can do

Yossi is not a scripted chatbot: he is a conversational agent connected to business tools. You speak to him in natural language, he chooses the appropriate tool himself to reply or execute your request.

Search in your contact base

"Who is David Cohen?" "Find me Sarah LΓ©vy's number" "Give me the list of contacts from the Mizrahi family"

Yossi searches in your contacts by last name, first name, email or phone. If multiple results match, he proposes a clickable list in WhatsApp so you choose the right one β€” no copy-paste, no typo.

Reminder creation

"Remind me to follow up with David Cohen next Tuesday at 10am" "Add a reminder on Sarah's profile to call her before Passover"

Yossi creates the reminder in your name (or for the whole team if you specify it), with or without a linked contact. At the due date, you receive the automatic Unisoft notification as for any reminder created from the backoffice β€” see Reminders.

Recording donation pledges

"David Cohen just pledged €500 for the renovation" "Note a €1,800 pledge from Yossi Mizrahi for Passover"

Yossi records the pledge in the dedicated module. At your next login, you find it in Pledges with its status, ready to be followed up.

Search for forms and pages

"Find me the Passover registration form" "Give me the link to the renovation fund"

Yossi searches in your forms, funds, event journeys. He returns the public link directly in the conversation β€” you can share it right away with a congregant who asks for it on the phone.

Free conversation & help

"How does a Booklet work in Unisoft?" "What's the difference between a fund and a campaign?"

For general questions, Yossi replies like an assistant who knows your job and the Unisoft product. No need to go looking through the documentation for a quick question.

Voice messages and images

Yossi accepts three types of WhatsApp messages:

TypeBehavior
TextUnderstood directly
VoiceAutomatically transcribed to text, then processed like a text message. Useful in the car, while walking, or when you're too lazy to type.
ImageYossi can analyze the image (e.g., a photo of a check, a poster, a business card) and extract the information useful to your request.

Video and PDF documents are not yet supported.

One conversation, multiple topics

Yossi keeps the thread of your conversation. If you tell him "Find me David Cohen" then "create a reminder for him for Tuesday", he knows that "him" refers to the contact he just found.

To start fresh on a new topic without confusion, two options:

  • Send /new: Yossi clears the context and starts over on a blank conversation.
  • Type /help: Yossi displays the list of available commands and reminds you to pin the conversation.

Confirmations before important actions

For actions that modify your data (create a reminder, record a pledge, etc.), Yossi can display a summary and ask for confirmation before executing.

For example, you see:

Yossi: "I'm going to create a personal reminder for Tuesday May 20, 2026 at 10:00am, linked to contact David Cohen, with the description "Follow up for the Passover pledge". Do you confirm?"

You reply Yes (or via the WhatsApp button proposed) β€” the action is done. You reply No or specify what to change β€” Yossi reformulates.

This step prevents accidental actions in slightly fast conversations.

Who sees what?

Yossi sees only what you see in Unisoft.

  • Your access rights and permissions apply to Yossi. If you do not have access to pledges in the backoffice, Yossi cannot create any for you.
  • Yossi only sees the contacts, forms, funds of your organization. No cross-org leakage.
  • Personal reminders created via Yossi remain personal (visible by you only); reminders for the whole organization are visible by the whole team with access to the Reminders module.

Limitations to know

  • No multi-recipient sending: Yossi replies to you, and only to you. To send a message to a group of contacts, use the Message Campaigns module of the backoffice.
  • No triggerable payment: Yossi cannot collect a payment for you. He can record a pledge, which will then be paid through the usual channels.
  • No history viewable from the backoffice: for now, your exchanges with Yossi live in WhatsApp. The actions he has performed are visible in Unisoft (reminder created, pledge recorded, etc.), but not the conversation itself.
  • Videos and PDFs not supported: if someone sends you a PDF that you forward to Yossi, he won't be able to analyze it.
