The Schedules module allows managing the service schedules displayed on the community's public site: Shacharit, Mincha, Arvit, Shiur, as well as the specific services of Friday evening and Shabbat. Each schedule can be fixed (at a constant time) or variable (calculated from the day's halachic zmanim).

To access this screen: /app/horaires/list.

Understanding the two types of schedules

TypeDefinitionTypical example
Fixed scheduleA precise hour and minute, identical throughout the year."Weekday Shacharit: 7:00 AM", "Weekday Arvit: 8:30 PM".
Variable scheduleA time calculated each day from a halachic zeman (Netz, Plag, Tzet, etc.), with an optional offset and possible rounding."Mincha: 15 min before Shkiat HaChama", "Shabbat Arvit: Tzet HaKochavim".

Variable schedules automatically adapt to the seasons (long days / short days) without manual intervention. This is the recommended mode for Mincha, Arvit, Friday evening, and Shabbat.

Available zmanim

ZemanMeaning
Netz HaChamaSunrise.
Chatzot HaYomSolar midday.

Screen overview

The screen displays a table summarizing all entered schedules. Each row includes:

  • Name — label you have given (e.g., "Weekday Shacharit", "Summer Mincha").
  • Type — colored tag indicating the service (Shacharit, Mincha, Arvit, Shiur, Friday evening, Shabbat). Filterable by checkboxes.
  • Schedule — display adapted to the type:
    • HH:MM format for fixed schedules,
    • "X min before/after ZEMAN" format for variable schedules (with the zeman name in bold).
  • Rounded — tag for variable schedules only: Rounded (green) or Precise (yellow). Dash for fixed schedules.
  • Seven day columnsSunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Shabbat — with Yes (green) or No (red) to indicate if the schedule applies to that day.
  • ActionsEdit button to open the appropriate modal.

At the top of the screen:

  • Search field — full-text search on the schedule name.
  • "Delete" button — active only when at least one schedule is selected via the checkboxes at the start of the row.
  • "Add" button — dropdown menu offering Fixed schedule or Variable schedule.

Add a fixed schedule

Use this mode for services with a constant time throughout the year (typically weekday Shacharit).

  1. 1

    Click «Add» then «Fixed schedule»

    A modal window opens.

  2. 2

    Enter the name

Give a descriptive label: "Weekday Shacharit", "Summer Mincha", "Sunday evening Arvit". This name does not appear on the public site — it is only used to identify yourself in the internal list.

  3. 3

    Choose the service type

Select from: Shacharit, Mincha, Arvit, Shiur, Friday evening Schedules, Shabbat Schedules.

The Friday evening and Shabbat types are visual groupings for the public page (which separates Shabbat services from weekday services).

  4. 4

    Check the application days

Check all the days of the week concerned. For example, for "Weekday Shacharit": check Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (and possibly Sunday).

  5. 5

    Enter the hour and minute

    24-hour format. Hour between 0 and 23, Minute between 0 and 59.

  6. 6

    Validate

Click Validate. The schedule appears immediately in the table.

Add a variable schedule

Use this mode for services tied to the rhythm of the sun — typically Mincha, Arvit, Friday evening, and Shabbat.

  1. 1

    Click «Add» then «Variable schedule»

    A slightly different modal opens.

  2. 2

    Enter the name

Internal label (e.g., "Mincha 15 min before Shkia", "Motzei Shabbat Arvit").

  3. 3

    Choose the service type

Same options as for the fixed schedule.

  4. 4

    Check the application days

    Select the relevant days.

  5. 5

    Enter the offset in minutes

The number of minutes of gap from the chosen zeman.

    • To align exactly on the zeman, enter 0.
    • To align 15 minutes before, enter 15 then toggle the switch to Before.
    • To align 20 minutes after, enter 20 then leave the switch on After.
  6. 6

Choose the offset direction (Before / After)

The After / Before switch specifies whether the offset is counted before or after the zeman. By default: After.

  7. 7

    Select the zeman

Choose from: Netz HaChama, Chatzot HaYom, Plag HaMincha, Shkiat HaChama, Tzet HaKochavim.

    Two additional zmanim are conditional:

    • Shabbat Entry — available only if the service type is Friday evening Schedules.
    • Shabbat Exit — available only if the service type is Shabbat Schedules.
  8. 8

    Enable or not the rounding

The Round the schedule switch (exact title in the form: "Round the Schedule ( Example: 37 = 35 ; 38 = 40 )") allows displaying a schedule rounded to the nearest five. Practical for communicating an easy-to-remember schedule; to be avoided if you need exact precision.

  9. 9

    Validate

    Click Validate.

Modify an existing schedule

  1. 1

    Click the Edit button

On the relevant row, click the pencil in the Actions column.

  2. 2

    The adapted modal opens

Depending on the schedule type, it is the Edit a fixed schedule or Edit a Variable Schedule window that appears, pre-filled with the current values.

  3. 3

    Modify then validate

Make your changes then click Validate.

Delete one or more schedules

  1. 1

    Check the schedules to delete

Use the checkboxes at the start of each row. Selection is multiple — you can delete several schedules in a single action.

  2. 2

    Click «Delete»

The Delete button at the top right becomes active as soon as at least one schedule is selected.

  3. 3

    Confirm

A confirmation request is displayed. Click Yes to validate.

Search and filters

  • Search by name: type in the search bar at the top. The table filters in real time on the label.
  • Filter by service type: click on the funnel icon in the Type column header. You can check several types simultaneously.
  • Sort by name, type, or rounded: click on the column header to switch between ascending and descending sort.

How the schedules appear on the public site

The public site displays all schedules defined here in a dedicated Schedules section, organized by day of the week. The display format takes up the codes of the internal table:

  • HH:MM for fixed schedules (for example: 07:00).
  • "X min before/after ZEMAN" for variable schedules (for example: 15 min before Shkiat HaChama).
  • For a variable schedule without offset (X = 0), only the zeman name is displayed (for example: Tzet HaKochavim).

The Friday evening and Shabbat schedules are visually grouped in a distinct section to highlight the particular rhythm of Shabbat.

Best practices

  • Give an explicit name to each schedule, especially if you have several Mincha (summer / winter / Yom Tov). Sorting and search will be more efficient.
  • Prefer variables for Mincha, Arvit, Friday evening, Shabbat — you won't have to modify the schedules twice a year at the seasonal change.
  • Prefer rounding for general public communication — a schedule displayed as "7:45 PM" is more memorable than "7:47 PM". Reserve Precise mode for cases where the gap really matters (late Plag HaMincha, start of Yom Kippur Mincha, etc.).
  • Check your organization's geographic location before entering variable schedules — an offset on latitude/longitude will result in false zmanim throughout the year.

Special cases

A schedule specific to a single day

Check only the relevant day. For example, for a monthly Tuesday evening Shiur: type Shiur, Tuesday box only, fixed time at 8:00 PM. You can then enter an explicit name like "Rav Cohen Shiur — Tuesday".

Several Shacharit in the day

Create as many schedules as there are Shacharit, with distinct names ("Vatikin Shacharit", "Main Shacharit", "Second Shacharit"). Each can have its own set of days and its own type (fixed or variable).

Yom Tov (holiday) service only

The module does not have a dedicated "holiday" mode. To communicate these schedules, create the schedule on the corresponding weekday the day before (you will adjust it by hand if necessary) or use a custom link in the site menu referring to a dedicated page.
